About the project
La Porra is a full sports-prediction platform for groups of friends, available on the web and as native iOS and Android apps. Users create private rooms, invite their group and compete by predicting results across dozens of competitions —the 2026 World Cup, LaLiga, Champions League, Premier League, F1, MotoGP, NBA, UFC and more— with scoring and leaderboards that update automatically from real results. We built the product end to end: a NestJS + MongoDB backend (sports-data ingestion, scoring engine, knockout brackets, bonus questions and live updates over WebSocket), an Angular server-side-rendered (SSR) web with advanced SEO (dynamic sitemap, hreflang and structured data), a React Native/Expo mobile app, and monetization via Stripe and in-app purchases (RevenueCat). It also includes a B2B track with portals for companies and brands that sponsor pools, plus a custom admin panel.
